License & Terms of Use

By downloading, installing, or using Chain Words ("the App"), you agree to the following terms.

1. License Grant

Chain Words grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on devices that you own or control. This license does not allow you to distribute, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of the App.

2. Free to Play

The core game is free to use. One daily word puzzle and 1v1 mode are available at no cost. No account creation or payment is required to play the daily game.

3. Optional In-App Purchases

The App offers optional power-ups (Extra Attempts, Streak Shield, Hint) purchasable with SOL or SKR cryptocurrency tokens via the Solana blockchain. All purchases are:

• Voluntary and not required to enjoy the game
• Non-refundable once the Solana transaction is confirmed on-chain
• Processed directly on the Solana blockchain, not through any centralized payment processor

You are solely responsible for ensuring you have sufficient funds and understand the nature of cryptocurrency transactions before making a purchase.

4. Wallet Connection

Connecting your Solana wallet is optional. The App interacts with your wallet only when you explicitly initiate a connection or transaction. The App never has access to your private keys or seed phrase. You are solely responsible for the security of your wallet.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to play the game
• Exploit bugs or vulnerabilities in the App
• Attempt to manipulate the leaderboard through fraudulent means
• Use the App for any illegal purpose

6. Availability

The App is provided "as is" without guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may update, modify, or discontinue the App at any time. The daily word, leaderboard, and 1v1 features depend on server availability.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Chain Words and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of funds from cryptocurrency transactions, loss of game progress, or interruption of service.

8. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, and game mechanics, is the intellectual property of Chain Words. The word puzzle game format is not proprietary, but the specific implementation, branding, and assets of Chain Words are protected by copyright.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the European Union and the Republic of Italy. Any disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Cagliari, Italy.
